Parent community
Other parents who stayed after class ended.
JADE is two nights. The week after is when most families stall. The parent community is the quieter room: questions, encouragement, and people who already know what this house feels like.
Ask the question you would not ask in class
Other JADE parents already sat through the two nights, the assessment, and the first hard weekend at home.
Share a win that is smaller than a milestone
A calm dinner. A curfew that held. A teen who came to the table. Those are the weeks aftercare is built from.
Stay after the first 30 days
The written plan gets you started. The community is how families keep moving when the worksheet is no longer new.
How we keep the room safe
- This is parent support, not teen group and not therapy.
- Do not post your teen’s full name, school, or identifying details.
- Staff and facilitators can redirect clinical questions to CYS counseling.
- No advice that replaces a safety plan. If someone is in danger, call 911.
Join at the last JADE class
Ask CYS staff for the parent community when you pick up your 30-day plan. If you already finished JADE, call the office and we will get you in.
